Testimonials
The experience to me (because in the end it wasn't just a course, it was an experience) was more about changing my approach to the instrument. "Redefining Technique" as a title now makes a lot of sense to me, because there was defenitley a shift on musical and physical awareness that I had never had before. Music started to mean much more than the "how am I supposed to do this" and more about the "what's the way I feel is best to do this". Technique now means the most basic exploration through repetition and mental kindness and not a mandatory gym routine like if I were on a music diet. Specifically, I feel like I have improved and gained more tools to keep on working on my speed, rolls but especially bounce contorl!! I am extremeley grateful for the starting point the course has offered me to view music and myself in music.

Josh went out his way to make sure that each of us in the course got our money’s worth by sending us resources, answering every question, and working with us one on one. It was extremely valuable in helping me to not only redefine and reevaluate my technique, but change my mindset when approaching percussion instruments. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to do a deep dive into how to approach drumming in a natural, relaxed, and efficient way.
